A193 B7 threaded rod is a high-tensile chromium-molybdenum alloy steel fastener manufactured to ASTM A193 Grade B7 specification. Designed for high-temperature and high-pressure applications, this B7 stud bolt stock is widely used in marine engine rooms for securing flanged connections on exhaust manifolds, turbochargers, and steam lines where both strength and moderate corrosion resistance are required.

EachASTM A193 Grade B7 rod is heat treated by quenching and tempering to achieve a minimum tensile strength of 125 ksi (860 MPa). The chromium-molybdenum chemistry provides enhanced creep resistance at elevated temperatures up to 450°C, making it the primary choice for Class 1 and Class 2 bolting in shipboard machinery systems. For sour service environments (H2S-bearing), the B7M variant with reduced hardness is available to comply with NACE MR0175/ISO 15156.
