TheDIN916 Set Screw—also known internationally as a Grub Screw,Hexagon Socket Set Screw, or Allen Grub Screw—is a headless fully threaded fastener with an internal hex drive socket and a precision-formed cup point. Unlike a conventional bolt that clamps two parts between head and nut, the Alloy Steel Set Screw is driven entirely into a tapped hole in an outer collar or hub, with the hardened cup point biting directly into the shaft surface to create a positive mechanical lock against both axial displacement and rotational slippage.
